Mud Room? Maybe a Mud Patch

I was going to call this a Mud Room Makeover… but as you can see this is more like a Mud Patch. This is the entry way from the garage to the house. This was never really completed as all the baseboard in the house was changed to a 7” baseboard, but this little patch of floor seemed to get overlooked…um….. for 3 years.
So here it is. The best thing about this little landing is the beautiful oil painting done by my father years ago. This lovely will find another place in the hallway upstairs.
No baseboard, blahhhhhhhhh.

  2. They do tend to run away when we voice these things out loud, don't they? : ) I think it looks great. I have a little area that you come in from our garage to, but it is like a four corners state type thing. To the left is our kitchen, to the right the laundry room and straight ahead is our home gym and a french door to the yard. It's pretty clear here since there is always foot traffic going somewhere in this area.

  3. Oh so beautiful!! I love how it totally changes the look of your little hall. We did a board and batten in our entranceway and I'll tell ya, that treatment has changed my life! :) I think my husband must be with yours because he's seemed to have disappeared too!

  9. Oh how pretty. Be still my heart. When you find him, tell your hubby to pat himself on the back. What I want to know...did he have that deer in the headlights look when you said that??

  14. I love calling it the mud "nook," too. So cute!

It looks wonderful; get ready to keep that white paint handy...one of my summer jobs to paint the scuffs on my white wainscoting.

    Cheers,
